John Dumelo, a politician, actor, and farmer from Ghana, has expressed his happiness over the passage of the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023. The bill was approved by the Ghanaian parliament on July 12, 2023, following its third reading. After the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023 is passed, businesses will be able to apply for licenses and start growing cannabis for commercial purposes.

   Mr. Dumelo disclosed his willingness to engage in the cultivation of cannabis for medical or industrial purposes in a tweet seen by markneswin.blogspot.com. He added that it is a pivotal time in Ghana's history.
